Janet Rehberg MBA Chattanooga-based EPB -- aka Electric Power Board of Chattanooga -- has named Janet Rehberg president of its Strategic Initiatives business unit, which seeks to "keep Chattanooga on the cutting edge as the energy and communications industries undergo rapid change," according to an EPB release today.
As president, Rehberg complements EPB's Energy and Communications business unit, which is led by President Ryan Keel and manages technology and customer service across existing lines of business.
Rehberg, who reports to EPB CEO David Wade, will augment such initiatives as EPB Quantum Network℠ and help advance prospective innovations, perhaps including integration of geothermal energy into the EPB Local Energy Mix.
"EPB is well-known at the national level as an innovative technology leader that's driven by its mission to serve customers. I am excited to join EPB as we explore new ways to enhance the quality of life for our customers and the Chattanooga area as a whole," said Rehberg in an EPB press release.
The new Strategic Initiatives leader most recently served as chief strategy officer and VP-Engineering for Tri-County Electric Cooperative in Aledo, Texas.
A native Arkansan, born to parents who immigrated from Vietnam, Rehberg holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tulsa (2004) and an MBA from Capital University (2009, Columbus, Ohio).
Her professional certifications including Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Demand Side Manager (CDSM) and Certified Emotional Intelligent Coach (EQI).
She is a member, award-winner and former president of Women's International Network of Utility Professionals (WiNUP) and, among other awards and achievements, has been recognized as the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America Project Mentor Match of the Year (2011) and as the Touchstone Energy Brand Champion in 2018.
