RAMPING-UP Software companies' growth, performance and value is the focus March 16 at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, during an Executive event convened by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA).

The Nashville event -- "Deciphering Finance" -- is unprecedented for SIIA, which has previously conducted such conferences in larger cities.

VIC GATTO, Nashville entrepreneur, VC and chairman of Jumpstart Foundry, will provide the day's Keynote address, titled "Deciphering Success," in which he will discuss the emergence and eventual strategic sale of Change:Healthcare, the Nashville startup that sold in 2014 to then-Emdeon.

The full slate of speakers on five panel sessions and two individual presentations will soon be on the event's site. This article will also be updated, as warranted.

SIIA VP and Software Division Managing Director Rhianna Collier told Venture Nashville that the event is designed to provide "insights to help you think more strategically, enhance the performance of your finance team and maximize the performance of your company."

SIIA and its events sponsors are collaborating to make the event free for senior Software sector executives, principally CEOs and CFOs, including both SIIA members and non-members in the Mid-South.

Those qualified attendees may register here without charge, while seating is available.

Paid registration for all others who wish to attend is available, while seating remains. For details visit here. You may need to create an account.

SIIA's website says its mission is to promote, protect and inform the software and digital-content sectors. The association "provides global services in government relations, business development, corporate education and intellectual property protection to the leading companies that are setting the pace for the digital age."

The SIIA board of directors includes 18 executives from such companies as Adobe, Google, Intuit, McGraw-Hill, NASDAQ, Oracle, Pearson, Red Hat, SourceMedia, Thomson Reuters and others.

Crucial issues for Software operators -- relationships between CFOs and CEOs -- will get close attention during the March 16 conference in Nashville.

Critical metrics and benchmarks that drive Software company performance will also be in the spotlight.

Other sessions focus on valuation drivers; and, on steps for preparing your Software company for financing and due diligence.

The conference also includes a timely update on Software revenue-recognition standards; and, Tennessee state and local tax issues for the Software industry, discussed in national context.

In addition to SIIA, sponsoring organizations for the event currently include Host Sponsors GrantThornton, Intacct and NetSuite; Supporting Sponsor OPEXEngine; and, others partners, including Venture Nashville Connections. VNC
